The importance of emerging market and non investment-grade corporate bonds to global fixed income investors has risen in today's low-yield environment, as has the need for specialised credit analysis, according to Credit Suisse.

"The partnership will help us capture additional investment opportunities, especially for our...Asia, emerging market and global credit and convertibles corporate bond business, which is growing significantly," said Luc Mathys, head of fixed income at Credit Suisse Asset Management.

The firms expect the partnership to last for at least five years.
